OUR PHILOSOPHY

Mission Statement

We are an ethical and responsible breeder of exceptional English White Labrador Retrievers. Our mission is to protect and preserve the temperament, appearance, soundness, history, and purpose of the breed for current and future generations. We produce well adjusted, happy, and healthy family puppies with friendly temperaments true to breed type.

Health and Genetics

Our breeding lines have been carefully refined over the course of 20+ years and many generations. We are deeply sincere and thoughtful in creating puppies that are not only beautiful, but also genetically sound and healthy. To that end, we extensively test all our breeding pairs to ensure the highest likelihood of raising puppies that will live long and healthy lives. In addition to standard OFA testing, we also complete full Embark DNA panels which screens for 17 breed-relevant genetic conditions as well as 201 additional genetic conditions

Good News!

Buttercup is not at increased risk for the genetic health conditions that Embark tests.

Lifestyle

Our Labradors enjoy a healthy and happy life on 3 acres with their very own river running through it. When you meet our pups, their health and happiness will be self-evident. Every one of our babies is extremely friendly, confident, and loving with an infinite capacity to give and soak up endless snuggles and love. You will not meet more well-adjusted, beautiful Labrador retrievers.

Socialization

From a very early age, we expose all our puppies to many different sights, sounds, and smells in a positive manner which ensures a happy, confident, and well-adjusted adult dogs. Our process first begins when a puppy is just days old – from the 3rd to 16th days, we begin with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) exercises. These exercises have proven to provide five lifelong benefits to puppies:

1. Improved cardiovascular performance (heart rate)

2. Stronger heart beats

3. Stronger adrenal glands

4. More tolerance to stress

5. Greater resistance to disease.

From there, we ensure a constant stream of daily handling, stroking, and interesting items/toys/puzzles/shapes for the puppy to interact. It’s during this phase of development that we also expose the puppies to many new sounds, smells, and people (adults and children). We do all this, so that when the time comes for a puppy to go to his/her forever families, they have a great start on being more adaptable and resilient to all the situations they will encounter in life.
